Brenda Cederberg DVM, CCRP

Veterinarian

Dr. Brenda Cederberg is the founder of Urgent Pet Care and a dedicated veterinarian with a strong focus on urgent, emergency, and surgical care. She opened the hospital in July 2021 to meet the growing need for accessible urgent and emergency services for dogs and cats in the Wichita area.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1993 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Kansas State University in 1995. In 2008, she completed advanced training through the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP).

Dr. Cederberg’s career includes experience in both small and large animal medicine, with time spent working in rural western Kansas and Nebraska. Her background includes cow-calf operations, dairy, equine, and other large animal care. She also built and led a successful small animal practice in Kearney, Nebraska for 11 years and has served in leadership roles within corporate veterinary settings and at a university-affiliated emergency hospital.

Her primary clinical interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, along with pain management and rehabilitation. Committed to lifelong learning, she has pursued specialized education through advanced courses, including AO Vet orthopedics, IMEX external fixation, KYON TTA Master Class, CO₂ laser surgery, Viticus surgical oncology, and advanced fracture repair training in Las Vegas.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Cederberg enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also enjoys gardening, refinishing furniture, working alongside her husband in his artisan concrete business, and painting with watercolors. Her home is shared with five dogs — Cash, Kubo, Maynard, Petunia, and Ashoka — and a cat named Alf.
